Sonia Gaemi
Dr. Sonia Gaemi is a registered dietician who completed an internship at UC Berkeley. She holds B.S., B.A., and M.A. degrees in nutrition and dietetics, and a doctorate from the University of San Francisco in international multicultural education, with an emphasis on nutritional psychology. She is recognized worldwide for her pioneering research and epistemology studies of 5000 women and children in many countries. She is the founder of Women for Cultural Wisdom and its new millennium model, One-Day Healing with Food (acknowledged by the UN as a foremost nutrition plan). She has been chairwoman for Women’s Nutrition/2000 (UN-US-Berkeley). She is a faculty advisor to the statewide Women’s Health Leadership program. Dr. Gaemi is a lecturer at several universities, noted health spas, and HMOs, and a newspaper food/health columnist.
